I had my fishing rod along and walked the creek looking for Browns. I found none.
Two-thirds the way through the walk I crossed a pasture that was holding calves, cows, steers, and bulls. I did not get good vibes from them. Especially the white faced steer. Cows generally are not my gig anyway.
I walked the Ruakuri bush walk and found it very interesting indeed. The paths lead through tunnels and were high above the creek in the gorge below. The trail was mildly busy however everyone I passed was friendly.
I walked from the Bush Walk into Waitomo to check my email and pay some bills and then back to the Marae were I relaxed and spent some time on my studies of Human Dimensions.
Group three arrived late. It had begun to rain by now. The hills put up a double rainbow over the Marae and I was able to finally photograph the resident Possum eating flowers in his favorite tree.
