Today Bella and I hit the creek. We needed a break from selling crap at our garage sale. I shot some video and took a few photos. The fishing was great. I caught numerous Brown and Rainbow trout on deep nymphs. The wildflowers were in full bloom including Phlox and Trillium.

Mikey, Al, Conor, and I made due. This section of Garvin Brook had been ravished by floods in August of 2007. The bulk of [...]

Bella had a rough night last night. Something got into her that left her shaking and uncomfortable. She needed to go fishing. We headed west into the county and ended up at Beaver Bridge in the Whitewater Management Area. The water was high and fast. I put on an ounce of lead and fished the [...]

We went all over Filmore county looking at blown out streams before we ended up here. There was an emergence of black caddis, 14, tan/grey caddis in 16 and 18. Fish took scuds and pink squirrels fished with n indicator. Lots of mushroom hunters were in the woods. We fished until around 12:30.

The midge were swarming today! I only made a quick stop here. There was a heavy midge hatch around 11:00AM. The larvae and pupa on the rocks at tails of runs were in the hundreds. No air/water temp taken.
