Open Gates.

I got an afternoon report that led me to believe that the gates of the dam in Alma had been opened to accommodate the volume of water that was in the banks of the big river. Bella and I headed to the spillway to try and catch some dinner.
We ended up catching several medium sized Freshwater Drum. Bella kissed everyone prior to their release.
The usual local suspects were fishing the spillway. People were throwing jigs and minnows for walleyes. I didn’t see any caught.
I was throwing worms with an ounce and a half of lead into the center of the eddy pool that the water streaming over the concrete spillway created.
The water below the spillway was at nearly the same level as the water above it.
