Today I had the pleasure of joining Riverway on a water journey through Winona County. We started the day with a video at the Whitewater State Park interpretive center. The video, presented by park naturalist Dave Palmquist, talked about the change that ensued after the flood of August 2007.
We investigated what we had learned by hiking the Coyote Point Trail. The students were engaged in GPS mapping and photographing the trail as they walked up the bluff side to a look-out and back down. These photos were taken by the Riverway students along Coyote Point Trail. Please click on a thumbnail for a larger image.
