Today I convinced four of my friends that it would be a great day to climb up and down a bluff. I lured them with the lore of Morel Mushroom hunting.
We filled the Subaru with five people and three dogs and made our way to Holzinger Lodge.
We hiked around the north side of the bluff passing by blooming Oats, Wild Ginger, Violets, and Wood Rue. We scoured the south side of the bluff, through the stands of young Elm Trees, from top to bottom, in search of popping Morels.
The dogs never managed to wear themselves out.
We found no Morels and collected one tick between all of us.
